Stingrays Win Again!

By Ashley Thiesen Caldwell | December 6, 2009

The South Carolina Stingrays won another exciting game at home Sunday when they beat the Elmira Jackals 3-1.

In front of a crowd of more than 4,000, the Stingrays won their seventh straight game, improving to 16-6-4 (36 points) on the season. They remain in first place in the ECHL’s South Division.

While their home record is lacking, the Stingrays boast an amazing 11-2-2 record on the road. The victory at the North Charleston Coliseum was the Stingrays’ fifth win in 10 tries this season.

The win followed a 4-3 win against the Jackals on Saturday night. Hopefully, the back-to-back wins at home will increase the Stingrays’ confidence. The next three games for the Stingrays will be at home Dec. 11 to 13 where they will take on the Trenton Devils on Friday and Saturday and the Charlotte Checkers on Sunday.

The Stingrays offer promotions and host exciting events at almost every home game. Ticket prices range from $15 to $21, and you’re sure to have experience an electrifying and action-packed night.
