“Parcel Q” is known as the undeveloped land residing between I-526 and Island Park Drive.

This area might become the new home of The Town Square at Daniel Island. According to a North Carolina developer (Hill Associates of Charlotte), they propose to build a 410,000 sqft retail and residential complex in this location. The $200 million dollar project is projected to be open in late 2009 or in the beginning months of 2010.

The proposed plan was unveiled to commercial real estate agents last week.

The plans include: specialty and upscale national retailers, 12 restaurants, 180-room hotel and a 55,000-square-foot theater/arts complex. The goal is to provide a new “Main Street” gathering spot with stylish lighting, fountains, plazas and lush landscaping in a pedestrian-friendly environment. In addition there would be 480 residential units that would have parking underneath.
