The Daniel Island Business Association and Family Circle Tennis Center have announced the establishment of the Daniel Island Farmers Market, a new shopping opportunity for residents and visitors on Daniel Island. Taking place Thursday afternoons from April 30 through September 24 at the Family Circle Tennis Center, the Daniel Island Farmers Market will provide patrons with an opportunity to shop locally and mingle at this weekly community event.
Growers from throughout the region will offer an abundance of fresh local produce, herbs and cut flowers. Local artisans will display their crafts, and hometown talent will perform on stage. While enjoying the Farmers Market, shoppers will also find delicious snacks and beverages available for purchase.
“The goal for the Daniel Island Farmers Market is to encourage a sense of community, sharing and fun,” said Jennifer Carrigan, Market Manager. “Island residents and visitors will now have an opportunity to support Lowcountry farmers, growers and artists right here on the island. I think everyone is really looking forward to this weekly opportunity to shop and socialize with island and area neighbors.”
The Daniel Island Farmer’s Market takes place 3 pm until dusk every Thursday afternoon from April 30 through September 24, with the exception of May 21 when the market will be closed due to a scheduling conflict. The location is the courtyard entrance to the Family Circle Tennis Center in downtown Daniel Island. The address is 161 Seven Farms Drive. Free on-street parking is available.
