Public Library Coming to Daniel Island
on March 20th, 2007 at 5:17 amBerkeley County will be opening a new library in Daniel Island (South Carolina) in the next month or two according to the Post and Courier’s article dated March 19, 2007. The library designed by architect Dennis Ashley will be located at 2301 Daniel Island Drive which is near homes and a school. The library will be 6400 sqft and will have an entrance hall that links it to the library, to the rest rooms and to the public reading room. The circulation desk will be located in the middle of the building. There will be numerous windows on all sides of the building and clerestory windows above so that there is natural lighting. This will be a great addition to Daniel Island—can’t wait.
